The Placed Note-Being Self-Taught

With the arrival of the internet and especially YouTube it never became easier to access a plethora of information regarding any topic and for us musicians it became a way to learn about our instruments and music in general. However as time went on in my personal experience the information became so much and it had so many different interpretations of the same concept that it became blurry to me.

Being self-taught is a journey full of holes because none of the information is complete or explained in full detail. Obviously im talking about info that is out for free because there are full courses that have a price (which is understandable like joker said “If you’re good at something never do it for free).

The tip that I would give in this situation would be to structure your learning path, for example chords, scales, fingerings, circles, harmony and melody dividing these into subsetcions of varying complexity.
